A lot of people have a misconception about engineering.
Reflecting.. I think I quite like what I am studying now. Though I can't say I love every single bit of my course. For most part I think I'll like it.
Reason being that engineering is about looking for solutions to problems in life. Actually I really love the idea of coming up with quirky inventions to make life more convenient. Remembered there was 1 point of time where my sister had to come out with 40 product ideas for her schoolwork, and I helped her think of almost half of the ideas. haha.
The only thing I don't really like about engineering is that we have to learn fundamental and core modules before we even have the knowledge and resources to create and design better machines or new products. This part, which I admit myself, is pretty tedious and boring but that is just part of what engineering is. Without Fluid Mechanics, Material Science, Themodynamics... we will not have the knowledge to further improve the products we already have today.
I guess I'm just lazy haha. I just want to skip straight into design and creating an invention or modifying something into my very own product. I'm pretty excited for the assignment we are gonna have for our design module ME2101. So D&T like.. it's gonna be interesting. Wonder what me and my partner will come up with. =D
